It was this school teacher from Downey who was responsible for so much of what we are about today. Jeanne Dowd and a group of dedicated space explorers created the Aerospace Legacy Foundation.

Had it not been for the vision and initiative of the Aerospace Legacy Foundation and the local community citizens the Downey NASA Site would be a Trucking Depot.
